Room six have been working on convincing our principal to introduce interest based groups back into school. We have been brainstorming and this what we have done so far.

FOR INTEREST BASED GROUPS
Why
1.Because it is fun joining together  in groups  and changing each group every term, the groups could be outdoor activates, dance and drama, music, art, photography.

2.It is fun changing things every term
3.It is exciting learning different thing
4.It is nice learning about something new

5.Because knowing that we can’t talk about stuff that interests us during class like rugby is very disappointing. I also think we should have a five minute break every half an hour between each learning session, And also when you keep on working and don’t get a break for a very long time our brains gets tired and we can’t concentrate properly, But that’s not all I also think it’s really interesting and fun talking about sports and things that interests us.

6. We should do interest based groups because it’s really fun taking a break from school everyday school work and doing something different that we enjoy on, with our classmate's. Surely we can find some time each week to do interest based group’s because we're not swimming anymore.

In writing we have been learning to do an Advertisement, we choose our buddies that we wanted to work with, Harrison and I did ours one on a TV with a built in popcorn maker.  We had to  include words that would convince the buyer like slang. Slang is informal language, that is from a region or country, the slang we used was 'hey bro'.  We also used repetition, this means repeating the word over and over,'we used pop, pop, popping out the door.

Cricket

On November first, a coach called Paddy came to school to teach us some cricket tips. We also played a game of two bats. My team got to bat first. We got eleven runs. We ended up with an eleven all draw. Something I learned was how to catch with your left hand  and and switch it to the right.
